Anxiety Crisis Symptoms and First Aid For Anxiety Crisis

Anxiety crisis is hard to control and it almost feels like it will last forever.
When the patient experiences an attack they feel like they’re dying and their heart is going to explode. People around them may not understand the situation by giving reactions like ‘Calm down’ ,’You’re exaggerating’. They negatively affect patients and it becomes a traumatizing experience. Anxiety crisis may occur suddenly. Most of the people may not recognise the problem and it makes the disease go even worse.

Stresful events,traumas and opression affects anxiety attack negatively.
People with anxiety constantly worries about things over nothing. Anxiety disorder usually coexist with OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder)

Anxiety Crisis warns brain to avoid the situation or deal with it.

Brain percieves these crisis as something that is never ending and should be avoided.

The heartbeat accelerates
The blood pressure increases
Adrenaline level in blood increases

People with anxiety also may experience panic attack.For instance they worry about airplanes and that affects their anxiety significantly.

Emotional Symptoms

Anxiety
Intense,uncontrollable fear
Having difficulties in focusing
Feeling nervous
Feeling angry
Negative thinking

Physical Symptoms

Heart rate acceleration
Increasing blood pressure
Hyperventilation
Sweating
Stomach and nausea
Frequent urination
Headache
Muscle tension
Overstain

Anxiety is also related to depression.So if anxiety crisis are too frequent patient may be experiencing depression as well.

How to help a person during Anxiety Crisis :

Ask how they feel and help them to get fresh air.
You can loosen their clothes
You have to be calm and kind,you can make them sure that you’re there to help them.
Help them inhale and exhale properly
