According to the Schema Therapy We all have a happy and satisfying side.
Some may refer to this phenomenon as self-realization, and some might expose the true self. This presumption is the course of human growth. This is a very personal path for everybody. We should use the seed of a tomato as a metaphor to explain the situation. The ultimate aim of each tomato seed is to be a tomato. The ultimate aim of each person internally is to be able to demonstrate their originality in life.
Everyone is born with some basic needs.
If these desires are fulfilled in a safe manner, we can feel happier and have the potential inside us more quickly. These needs include maintaining good ties with others, being self-sufficient, being welcomed, being approved, having fun, expressing ourselves and so on. Countable.
People can change.
Such people don’t make any adjustments. It carries with it the features that it has since birth, and it completes its life with those features. In other words, it’s the same thing as in adolescence and old age. If we look around we will find a lot of proof that this method is true. Yet the history of psychotherapy and several other examples indicate that progress is inevitable. The fact that it is difficult to adjust does not mean that this is not possible.
Schema Therapy claims that We all have strong tendencies to reject change.
This is not contrary to the third assumption. One side wants growth, while the other side is opposing it. It’s a complicated process to alter. In fact, in terms of psychotherapy, progress involves facing very painful emotions and taking new changes in our lives.
We all have strong tendencies to escape pain.
This is bad in a positive way. The positive news is that he believes that we’re trying to stop suffering and negativity and look for what’s good for us. The downside is that transition ensures that we cannot escape misery and pain.
There is no single technique available to all people.
Change is not only a one-dimensional operation. In this way, schema counseling aims to use emotional, behavioral, organizational and experimental methods in the psychotherapy process.
According to Schema Therapy Every person needs to create a personal goal.
Improvement of schemes is the first and most important pillar of change. Schemas prevent us from forming and achieving our personal goals in life. The improvement of the schemes leaves us alone with our personal goals. Therefore, the process of change is strategic and not random.
