Habit or Addiction/Dependence
Nicotine dependent people consider smoking as habit rather than an addiction. The difference is easy to understand. While our bodies do not give negative reactions when we do not apply our habits one day, when we do not use the substance we depend on one day, our body encourages us to consume this substance by reacting with a variety of events that vary from person to person.
We see that smokers check if there is a shop around where they can supply cigarettes when they notice that there are few left in their packets, and if they can’t have it, they experience tension. This is the simplest indication that smoking is not a simple habit but a substance addiction that needs treatment.
