Adele syndrome: Symptoms

Adele syndrome is a syndrome that is clearly accompanied by a series of symptoms. In particular, patients have insomnia. Interestingly, patients almost always experience a so-called “heart beating” in their dreams.

If women withdraw from life as the disease progresses; they ignore routine tasks, do not cope with their responsibilities at work; they have difficulty paying attention to concentration while their minds focus only on their loved ones.

In some cases, patients develop some form of fetishism; they somehow store and collect all the things that the person they love. Generally, there is severe depression.

Treatment Methods

Adele syndrome leads to gradual destruction of the patient’s personality. Patients will often come out of reality and imagine them in a fictional world where the relationship between the two lovers is ideal. For example, Adele Hugo sincerely believed that she was married to the lieutenant. Usually, these pain ends with attempted suicide.

In fact, as with all other mental disorders, the treatment of the disease is not so easy. However, it is possible to avoid obsession and dependence – you need to ask for help and acknowledge that the problem really exists.

In some cases, proper medical treatment requires antidepressants and some other medications. But unfortunately, there is no magic pill that makes the transition from unhappy love to healing. Therefore, psychotherapy should be accompanied.
