Only the physician can decide the treatment with you. Most mental disorders have biological treatments such as medication and / or psychotherapy. Psychotherapy is also a medical intervention, but it can be done by your psychiatrist or under the guidance of a clinical psychologist with training and competence in a particular therapy. Your psychiatrist decides with you the appropriate treatment for your mental state.
